Abstract
A totally automated absolute thermoelectric power (TEP) measuring :system for studies at high temperatures (up to 800xB0;C) has been fabri- cated based on the design developed by the authors earlier. The main feature of this system is the control of the mean temperature of the sample to within xB1;_0.1 xB0; C over the entire tempe- rature range. The resolution in absolute TEP measurement is =0.1 Vv/xB0;C. Some typical data on the behaviour of TEP across the magnetic13; phase transition in nickel is presented. This system has been installed at the Inter University Consortium, Indore.
