Abstract
The Engineer in the Loop Simulator (ELS) is a13; real-time flight simulation facility, set up for13; the development of Control Law of an unstable13; combat aircraft . The ' ELS' has been currently13; designed using distributed processing on three13; computing systems, acquiring data from the pilot's13; station. This document addresses issues connected13; with data acquisition from the pilot's station and13; the associated inter-process communication between13; the processes, viz. the data acquisition system13; (DAS-PC/AT), the flight dynamic process (IBM13; RS 6000/560) for flight computation, and the graphics13; process (IRIS 4D/35) for visualisation of flight.13; 13;
