Abstract
Euler computations have been made for simulating transonic flow over a cropped Delta wing with a deflected aileron. A 28-block multiblock grid has been generated for this configuration, and two different finite volume flow solvers have been used for the computations, one with a cell-vertex formulation, JUEL3D developed at NAL, and the other with a cell-centered approach, developed at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China. Results are presented for the flow past the wing with aileron deflection of 6 deg. and a free stream Mach no.=0.9, at angle of incidence of 0,1 and 3 deg. The computed results are compared with available experimental data, and viscous computations available in literature.
