Abstract
In an exercise sponsored by the NCMRWF, New Delhi,in 1993, many Groups in the country parallelized the GCM - T80 code. But the priority Being to run the operational code and to estimate the feasibility of parallel Processing for GCM - T80 code, the issue of scalability, eventhough it is13; a core issue in meteorological computing, could not be discussed at that time. This report presents a detailed analysis of the scalability, if meteorological computing is to be efficient from the view of cost and performance.
