Abstract
The report describes a work plan to initiate activities in the area of aero- and vibro-acoustics at the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bangalore, keeping in view the aircraft design and development projects. The report identifies various aero- and vibro-acoustics problems that anise in the aerospace domain. Some specific suggestions are offered with regard to the NAL's immediate requirements of capability development in this area The problems of interest in both the domains of (i) Ramp;D as well as (ii) totally applied aspects related to the aircraft projects have been discussed. The need to acquire a commercial software to meet the immediate needs of NAL's aircraft projects is discussed. The report also presents an assessment of SYSNOISE, a commercially available vibroacoustic software.
