    Abstract

    This report contains the results of the seismic qualification tests performed on 250 AH and 750 AH HDP cells on steel rack for Mls Standard Batteries Ltd.,13; Mumbai. The seismic qualification tests, as approved by Nuclear Power Corporation (NPC), Mumbai were carried out at the Shake Table Facility at Structural Integrity Division (SID) of National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL),13; Bangalore. While tests were carried out by the staff of the Division, the representatives of M/s SBL were involved in monitoring electrical performance, such as terminal voltage across the cell and discharge current, of 250 AH and 750 AH HDP cells during the test. These tests were witnessed by the representatives of Mls SBL and their user - NPC, Mumbai as well as QA office of NPC at13; Bangalore. This test report constitutes a part of the necessary seismic qualification and is intended to be supplemented by Mls SBL, Mumbai to form a full qualification document.
