Abstract
From the time of invention of the world's first printer by13; Guttenberg (1440-50) to the present-end of the 20th century-there has13; been considerable technological change in the printing and publishing industry.13; Desktop Publishing (DTP) software like PageMaker, Ventura, graphic software13; like CorelDRAW, WordPerfect / DrawPerfect and Harvard Graphics have brought13; about a total revolution as far as professional presentations are concerned. Elegant graphics combined with innumerable fonts (the right font for the right13; occasion and mood makes all the difference!) is becoming the real strength of13; mass media agencies as well as scientific and business organisations. Cut throat13; competition all over has led to more and more reliance on these DTP and graphic13; software packages. In this document an attempt has been made to bring out the13; power of graphics and fonts on DTP layouts, and thereby give an indication of13; how DTP layouts could be considerably improved by combining such novel13; software.
