    Abstract

This covers the survey of experimental investigations reported in literature to assess the performance of the Gurney flap for lift enhancement on wings, reflection plate model, delta wing etc largely under 2D flow conditions. It is generally observed that lift is increased by 20 to 30% with these miniature flaps for both the symmetrical and cambered airfoils.
