Abstract
The paper deals with the large deflection flexural vibration of unsymmetric cross-ply laminated plates which are simply supported at two opposite edges and clamped at the other two edges. Stress-free and movable in-plane boundary conditions are considered. Nonlinear frequency is obtained as a function of lamination parameters, material constants, aspect ratio, linear frequency and amplitude of vibration. Nonlinear frequency to linear frequency ratio versus amplitude curves are presented for isotropic, glass-epoxy, graphite-epoxy and boron-epoxy plates.
