Abstract

The present invention provides a process for the preparation of solar selective absorber coating over metals and alloys useful for harnessing solar energy. This is an environment friendly process, using plasma oxidation and ion implantation for converting a substrate (metal/alloy) surface into selective absorber, which is stable at high temperature up to 400 degree C and has good mechanical properties.
