Abstract
This report summarises the progress made in this project. A simplified approach for fatigue analysis for notched members using local stress strain history as the basis for damage calculation is described. An attempt is made to derive a parameter involving material fatigue crack growth properties to denote as an index of fatigue strength of the material for a specified crack growth life and initial crack size.
