    Abstract

    Force And Moment Measurements Were Made On 1/20th Scale Complete Model And Core Alone Of Augmented Satellite Launch Vehicle (ASLV) With Relocation O1 Secondary Injected Thrust Vector Control Tanks (SITVC Tanks) . Four Configurations Of Complete Model With 4, 6, 6M And 8 SITVC Tanks And Two Configurations Of Core Alone With 2 And 4 SITVC Tanks Were Selected For The Study . Tests Were Conducted In NAL 1 .2m Wind Tunnel At Mach Numbers 2 .1 And 2 .5 On Complete Model And On Core Alone At Mach Numbers 2 .1, 2 .5 And 3 .0 In The Incidence Range Of -6° To 6° . Significant Variations In Normal Force, Side Force, Axial Force, Pitching Moment And Yawing Moment With Relocation Of SITVC Tanks On ASLV Complete Model And Core Alone Were Observed.The Configuration With 8 SITVC Tanks Seems To Be More Promising From The Stability Point Of View . Results Are . Presented In Both Tabular And Graphical Forms In This Report.
