Abstract
This project aims at the study of impedance-based control for vibration reduction. This report presents the study of theoretical basis for impedance control. A control method on minimizing the power flow into the structure is investigated. This controller is designed based on the de-reverberated transfer function between the actuator and the sensor. The advantage of this controller is that the required transfer functions can be estimated from the experimental data. This project will study some of the theoretical and implementation aspects of this type of controller for vibration reduction applications.
