    Abstract

    Stress analysis of metallic rudder of MiG-21 is carried out by finite element technique using the software ASKA along with interactive graphic processors. The results of the analysis indicate, that the rudder is stiffness critical. The obtained deflections can be used to define the design allowables in the design of a composite rudder for MiG-21.
