Abstract
Computational Aerodynamics plays a dominant role in the design phases of aircraft. By a proper choice of computational tools, backed up by experimental data base, considerable savings can accrue in the expensive wind tunnel testing required in the various stages of aircraft development. CFD can thus play a synergic role in the design cycle of an aircraft.
