    The graphite epoxy rudder of MiG-21 aircraft, developed at NAL has been analysed for its free vibration characteristics. The frequencies of the composite rudder analysed with ASKA package have been compared with those of the existing metallic rudder. The details of the analysis and the PEM modelling are presented along with some interesting colour graphics output of the rudder mode shapes.
