Abstract
Improved flow visualization studies have been made using the newly acquired digital video camera in the 0 .3 m water tunnel and in the 1 .5 m lowspeed wind tunnel . Not only did the use of digital video enable visualization of unsteady phenomena (at the PAL-standard video framing rate of 25 frames per second), but also image acquisition and processing was greatly simplified when compared to conventional still photography . The primary drawback of the digital video camera was its inability to produce photo quality high-resolution images .This report presents details of the tests carried out and typical results .
