Abstract
This brief report describes a revised composite scheme for door numbering in Bangalore city . The basic approach is to ensure monotonic progression of door numbers with reference to a common reference point on any road in the city. This is achieved by giving odd numbers on the left hand side of the road and even numbers on the right hand side of the road. Added to this is a coordinate scheme which has been devised to take advantage in layouts having well ordered numbered roads. This scheme enables interpreting approximate location of the address on an identified road from the door number.
