Abstract
Six wind monitoring stations with 25 mtrs mast were set up in parts of Tamilnadu , under a Tamilnadu Energy Development Agency sponsored project. First three stations were setup in the latter part of the "Aramboli gap" near Nagerkoil. Next three stations were setup in the latter part of the "Palghat Gap" little more than one years data has been collected at 25 and 10 meters height above ground level using solid state data loggers and sensors. The period of measurement was from July 1997 to Nov .1998. This report gives results of the measurements conducted at Dharapuram
