    This paper presents two techniques that aid in13; reducing the design effort in the development of13; autopilots for commercial aircraft.13; A QFT based frequency response shaping13; technique is proposed for the design of gain13; schedules for the various modes of the autopilot13; control law. An array logic based scheme is13; suggested for the modelling and simulation of the13; autopilot mode logic.13;
