Abstract
This report presents wind speed data collected in the western ghats on the ridge line surrounding Talacauvery (origin of river Cauvery) located in Madikeri district, The data collection was initiated during last week of December 1986. Four data loggers are installed over a span of about 2-3 kilometers. The data loggers collect wind speed and direction information at ten and twenty meters height, In this report data for the period December 1986 last yeek to Mar& 1987 is reported.
