    Abstract

Ministry of Non conventional Energy Sources has, under demonstration program for utilization of Wind Power Battery Chargers funded complete projects of installation, monitoring of wind power battery chargers of various capacities in typical user environments. The idea was to be able to determine if the machines so deployed would be able to provide at least part of energy requirements in these environments. In order to determine if the project goals have been met with and if so to what extent the projects have succeeded, the Ministry sponsored a project to National Aerospace Laboratories to study chinstallations and determine the effectiveness of these machines vis a vis the actual user requirements . This closing report highlights the findings of these studies and gives an overview of ground situation . The report also makes an attempt to improve the situations in several cases .
